Born in Akita.
Living in Kasukabe Saitama.
幼いころ、家にあったカメラを持ち出し、フィルムも入っていないのに雑草（花ではなく）や近所の飼い犬、杉や松の木を相手に写真を撮る真似事をしていたのが、写真との最初の出会いだった。もっとも、フィルムが入っていないのだから実際には何ひとつ撮れていなかったわけだが……。
その後、何かのきっかけで110フィルム（ポケットフィルム）を使うカメラを手に入れた。何度かフィルムを使い切った記憶はあるものの、何を撮ったのか、どんな写真が写っていたのかはまったく覚えていない。そもそも現像したのだろうか。
それから約20年。秋田の農家に生まれた少年はようやく自分専用のカメラを手にし、現在はシクロクロス、BMX、マウンテンバイク、ロードレースなどの自転車競技や、フリースタイルモトクロス（FMX）の撮影を行っている。
信条は「CROSSOVER」。
ジャンルにこだわらず、興味を惹かれる現場があればどこへでも足を運ぶ。競技、文化、人、その場にしかない空気感を写真として残したいと考えている。
When I was a child, I used to take an old camera from around the house and pretend to photograph weeds (not flowers!), neighborhood dogs, and trees. There was one small problem: there was no film in the camera. So technically, I wasn’t taking any photos at all.
Later, I got a camera that used 110 film, also known as “pocket film.” I remember going through a few rolls, but I have no idea what I photographed—or even whether the film was ever developed.
After that, it took more than twenty years for the boy who grew up on a farm in Akita, Japan, to finally own a camera of his own.
Today, I photograph a wide range of cycling disciplines including cyclocross, BMX, mountain biking, road racing, and FMX. Whether it’s a muddy cyclocross course, a BMX gate, or a mountain trail, I’m always looking for the next story to capture.
My creed is simple: CROSSOVER.
I don’t believe in staying within a single category. If there is a race, an event, or an interesting story to tell, I’ll go wherever it takes me and document it through my lens.
